FARMERS TRAINING ON MUSHROOM PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY AND VALUE ADDITION OF HORTICULTURE CROPS

Two days farmers training on “Mushroom Production Technology and Value Addition on Horticulture Crops” was organized by Central Institute of Horticulture, DAC& FW, Ministry of Agriculture, GOI, Medziphema, Nagaland at Training centre, CIH, Medziphema on 29th to 30th January 2019. The participants were farmers and unemployed youths from nearby village. Resource person, Dr. Narola Pongen, Asst. Prof. Dept. of Plant Pathology, NU, SASRD Medziphema, delivered demonstration and hands on training on mushroom production and its management practices. In another technical session, Ms. Vinika Aomi, Post Harvest Technologist, CIH, emphasized her training on value addition of locally available and seasonal fruits and also delivered demonstration cum hands on training on preparation of carambola squash. Altogether, 110 participants attended the two days training programme.
