EXPOSURE VISIT CUM TRAINING AT CCRI, NAGPUR

Central Institute of Horticulture, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India, Medziphema, Nagaland in collaboration with ICAR- Central Citrus Research Institute, Nagpur organized 3 days training programme on Advances in Nursery Raising, Method of Production Technology and Rejuvenation at CCRI, Nagpur from 19th to 21st July, 2018 for the farmers and officials of NEH region. A total of 21 participants from Manipur and Nagaland attended the programme. Three days programme covered various topics on nursery raising, plant propagation, pest and disease management, post harvest and processing of citrus, etc., besides lecture and practical demonstration on Citriculture, field visit to local nurseries and orchards were also organised.

Dr. MS Ladaniya, Director, CCRI, urged the participant to transfer technology to their community which they have learned during the training programme. Dr. AS Rajput, Regional Director, Regional Centre for Organic Farming Nagpur as Chief Guest of the programme emphasised the importance of organic citrus cultivation for NEH region. Dr. Moasosang Longkumer (Asst. Horticulture Specialist, CIH, Medziphema) express his views on three days training programme and thanked all the resource persons for rendering their valuable time and knowledge to the farmers.
