During the period 2011-2012, Central Institute of Horticulture has made some significant achievements in the following areas viz.,

• Successfully organized skill development programme of 9 days on “Supply Chain Management”
• Established Organic model farm in Meghalaya & Nagaland
• Successfully showcased NER in international forum (Biofach ,Bangalore)
• Created a brand name for Nagaland Pineapple
• Exceeded the year’s targets in trainings
• Successfully created a platform (workshop on “marketing of spices”) for all stakeholders of spices in the region
• Successfully organized North East Horti farmers meet and initiated the formation of NE horti. farmers forum for market linkage
• Published folders on important aspects of horticulture in 22 local dialect of NER, besides other publication in English
