CIH organizes farmers awareness programme at Sikkim
Central Institute of Horticulture, Nagaland organized a two day farmers awareness programme on government schemes for horticulture development and formation of FPOs at SAMETI, Tadong, Sikkim on 14th & 15th November 2018.
The programme was organized in collaboration with Horticulture and Cash Crops Department, Govt. of Sikkim. The objective of the programme was to create awareness on govt. schemes in horticulture to the farming community and procedures to avail it.n.
Earlier, the inaugural programme was graced by Smt. D L Lama, Proncipal Director, Horticulture, HCCD, Sikkim who in her inaugural address encouraged the farming community to work with complete dedication.
The resource persons of the programme were Shri. D Shenoy, Dy. Director, Spices Board, Shri. B L Dahal, Addl. Director (Spices), HCCD, Sikkim, Shri. S R Jaggi, AGM, NABARD, Shri. T D Bhutia, IGS, Shri. Prabin Das, Marketing Specialist, CIH.
Altogether, forty eight (48) farmers participated in the awareness programme. The programme was coordinated by Shri. Tilak Gajmer, Addl. Director (HRD), HCCD, Sikkim.
