Farmers Training at Central Institute of Horticulture

Two days training on ‘Post Harvest Management and Value addition of Horticulture Crops’ was organized by Central Institute of Horticulture, DAC & FW, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India, Medziphema, Nagaland, for the women of Medziphema 14th ¬and 15th Sept. 2018.

On day one, resource person invited from NU, SASRD, Dr. Rokolhuü Keditsu, Asst. Professor, Horticulture Department, delivered the training cum demonstration on value addition of flowers and different types of flower arrangement. The second day of the training programme was conducted by Md. Manzar Hossain, Post Harvest Technologist, CIH, Medziphema, where, he imparted hands-on training on food processing aspect of horticulture crops, such as preparation of king chilly pickle and pineapple squash. The training was organized so as to impart technical knowledge on processing and value addition of horticulture crops. Altogether, 122 participants attended the two days training programme.
