Two days farmers’ training on “Persimmon Cultivation and post harvest management” was organized by the Central Institute of Horticulture, DAC& FW, Ministry of Agriculture, GOI, Medziphema, Nagaland at Horticulture Research Farm, Pfutsero, Phek district Nagaland, on 25th to 26th July 2019. The training was organized in collaboration with DHO, Phek, Govt. of Nagaland. The objective of the training program was to impart latest management practices on persimmon cultivation and also the post harvest aspect of other horticultural crops. The participants comprised of farmers, educated unemployed youths and self-help groups from neighboring village. Apart from training, farmer-scientist interaction was also conducted after each technical session. Altogether 134 participants from nearby villages participated in the training program.
