2 DAYS TRAINING ON NURSERY MANAGEMENT

Central Institute of Horticulture, Nagaland organized a 2 days on-campus training programmes on Nursery Management of Horticulture Crops on 18th and 19th March 2021 for famers from Punglwa B village under Peren District. The training topic comprised of introduction and classification of nursery, layout and physical resources of nursery, management of vegetable nursery, management of nurseries under protected cultivation, Nursery accreditation and guidelines for recognition of horticultural nurseries. The institute also conducted field visit to the institute’s nursery unit and provided practical demonstrations on various propagation techniques in horticulture crops. Altogether 22 participants attended the training progamme on nursery management.

Technical experts of the Institute delivered the training through power point presentation and demonstration. Each training session was followed by interactive session between the technical expert and the participants.

Dr. N.K Palte, Addl. Commissioner DAC&FW & Director in charge CIH, during the course of trainings also monitored each programmes and also interacted with the participants through video conferencing.
